Un-trustworthy Evidence Sparks Public Concern over District Attorney

Community activist Ishmael Shabazz was arrested on felony weapons charges. But many people in the community are not convinced that the Ulster County District attorney’s case is trustworthy.

A local attorney at a recent solidarity forum stated, “I think the problem we have is a tremendous distrust with law enforcement.” An echo of voices could be heard across the church as the public agreed.

Another concerned citizen asked, “Can we have a process to assure us that a situation will dealt with in a fair manner?” However the local attorney points out, “law enforcement can only be good when law enforcement is trusted by the community.”

Otherwise we have a situation where a District Attorney can with the help of law enforcement magnify, alter, or even plant evidence for the purpose of building a case against a disadvantaged person…

Yes, Bernie Sanders would be a far superior president to Hillary Clinton.

That requires a bit of elaboration. Something I just scraped off my shoe would be a far superior president to Hillary Clinton, but Sanders would actually be good in a whole lot of ways. He has numerous imperfections, but the contrast with Clinton is like day to night.
